About this role
The procurement agent manager will lead and supervise the entire PA team; manage all procurement activities and ensures compliance with MCC and local frameworks; main point of contact with client.
Candidates must be local to Zambia.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Law, Procurement, Engineering, Business, Finance, Public Administration or related field — OR — an internationally recognized procurement qualification or certification (NIGP-CPP, CPPO, CSCP, MCIPS, CPSM, CPSD)
• Minimum 10 years of relevant public procurement practitioner experience in at least 2 countries
• Experience in at least 2 projects developing/reviewing procurement documents for all categories (goods, works, services), including bidding documents, evaluation reports, and contracts
• Experience conducting or managing procurements under at least 2 donor-funded regulatory frameworks (e.g., World Bank, ADB, AfDB); MCC experience is an advantage
• Experience leading, managing, or supervising a team of procurement professionals (as PAM or equivalent) in at least one instance
• Experience conducting or managing large, complex, high-value procurement (circa US$5M)
• Fluency in written and spoken English required
• Demonstrated experience interacting with senior government officials and/or private sector entities
• Competency in Microsoft Office suite
Specific Skills & Competencies:
• Advanced knowledge of public procurement regulations and best practices.
• Experience developing/reviewing procurement documents for goods, works, and services (solicitations, evaluations, contracts).
• Familiarity with donor-funded procurement frameworks (MCC/World Bank/ADB, etc.).
• Proven ability to engage senior-level government and private sector stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
