Director - Analog Design

Renesas is looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to join the Power Product Group, Performance Computing Power Team in Catania (Italy). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor engineering, good leadership skills, and a proven track record of technical team management and complex projects. In this role, you will manage the design and development of Smart Power Stages and Power Management Integrated Circuits, with the ability to support product definition and testability. You will also work closely with the Marketing, Packaging, CAD, Product and Test, and Fab teams to set the investment direction for silicon IP, CAD tools, process technology and packaging/module roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a semiconductor engineering team in Catania, ensuring operational excellence and high performance.
• Collaborate with Product Line Directors to prioritize near-term product execution imperatives and long-term strategic initiatives
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive innovation and growth in Performance Computing Power.
• Oversee the design and development of products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
• Set a vision for the team and grow the team in size and capability.
• Manage resources and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 25 years of experience in semiconductor engineering, with at least 5 years in high current products development.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor design, development, and production processes.
• Experienced in power management circuits and DC/DC converters architecture.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.

The expected annual pay range for this position is €94,000–€125,000. Please note that the final offer will depend on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and the candidate’s skill set. This role is also eligible for a bonus.
