Overview

Physical Superintelligence is a stealth startup with roots at Google, Meta, DeepMind, NVIDIA, Harvard, MIT, Johns Hopkins, and the Perimeter Institute building AI systems to discover new physics at scale. We are seeking a GTM leader to define and execute the commercial strategy at the intersection of physics, AI, and energy.

Our mission is to discover and commercialize transformative physics breakthroughs at scale with artificial superintelligence, safely, verifiably, and for broad public benefit.

The last century's golden age of physics gave us transistors, lasers, and nuclear energy. We believe artificial superintelligence will unlock the next one. We're creating the infrastructure to industrialize scientific discovery and usher in this new era.

We have one product: new physics, at scale.

Role and Responsibilities

- Design and implement a scalable GTM strategy. Define how PSI goes to market across its target verticals and build the playbook that scales the function as the company grows.

- Land and close beachhead customers across compute infrastructure, energy, and adjacent industrial verticals. Develop the pitch, value proposition, and deal structure for each, and own the full motion from first call through signed pilot.

- Oversee execution on existing deals, scaling them from pilot to production. Hire and manage the forward deployed engineering team, set delivery expectations, and scope engagements alongside PSI's technical leadership so each engagement compounds into platform capability rather than bespoke services.

- Communicate what our systems can do to technical buyers, both in closing new contracts and expanding live ones. Translate PSI's capabilities into deployable outcomes for industrial customers and turn early pilots into large, long-term contracts.

- Hire and build the GTM team that scales the commercial function as PSI grows.

- Represent PSI externally in customer-facing settings, investor introductions, and industry forums.

What We're Looking For

- Ability to design effective GTM strategies in the AI era. You can build a commercial motion suited to how deep tech is bought and sold today, not a playbook copied from a prior era.

- Proven ability to sell. You have personally closed significant deals with technical buyers and can speak to the deal structure and the delivery motion, not just the relationship.

- Eight or more years in GTM, commercial leadership, or forward deployed engineering leadership in deep tech, energy, or compute infrastructure, including scaling accounts from initial deals into much larger ones.

- Scientifically and technically literate. You can discuss physics, AI, simulation, and large-scale engineered systems credibly with technical executives and convey them clearly to customers. You do not need to go deep into the underlying science or write code yourself.

- FDE leadership experience. You have hired, managed, and deployed FDE-style teams in close coordination with engineering, turning ambiguous customer problems into shippable, repeatable product across the full arc from pilot to high-velocity expansion.

- Bias to ship. Demonstrated ability to operate without bureaucracy in fast-moving environments. You ship; you do not stall.

Nice to Have

- A network across compute infrastructure, energy generation and storage, advanced manufacturing, materials, or adjacent industrial verticals, with the ability to open doors to senior decision-makers.

- Direct experience selling in the fields we operate in: compute infrastructure, energy, and adjacent industrial verticals.

- Prior experience on a forward deployed commercial team at a leading deep tech or enterprise software company.

How We Work

We are engineering-led. Engineers own problems end to end, from spec to ship to on-call. We write contracts before logic, test against real systems instead of mocks, and favor simple designs that ship over clever ones that do not. Our development process is AI-native: engineers work with agentic coding tools daily, write specs that are legible to humans and agents alike, and lead with leverage.

Location and Compensation

This role is based in Boston. We will consider remote candidates on a case-by-case basis. We offer competitive compensation including salary, benefits, and meaningful early-stage equity. We evaluate on technical breadth, product sense, shipping velocity, and the quality of what you have built. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diverse perspectives in building platforms for AI-driven discovery.
