Bandsaw Operator

NOX Metals is a technology company in Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to move metal faster than the industry thought possible. We run 24/7 and we are growing. If you can operate a bandsaw and take pride in cutting it right the first time, we want to talk.

You will:

• Operate industrial bandsaws to cut aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to customer spec

• Read and execute cut lists accurately — every cut, every order

• Measure and verify finished pieces against job requirements

• Load and unload material using forklifts and overhead cranes

• Inspect cuts for quality and flag any non-conforming material

• Package, label, and stage finished orders for shipment

• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep your work area clean

• Log job completions in our software system

You are:

• Experienced on industrial bandsaws or similar cutting equipment

• Able to read a tape measure and work to tight tolerances

• Detail-oriented — you do not ship a bad cut

• Reliable and physically capable of working on your feet for a full shift

• Someone who takes ownership of their machine and their work

Nice to have:

• Experience cutting aluminum or other non-ferrous metals

• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification

• Familiarity with aerospace or defense supply chain quality standards
