Role Purpose

You will shape how spectators arrive, move through, and enjoy an LA28 venue at the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As Senior Manager, EVS Venue and FOH, you create and deliver the Event Services operations plan for a specific venue, integrated with the wider organizing committee plan. You design crowd flows, entry and exit points, queues, staffing, and signage, oversee temporary front-of-house infrastructure, and lead a large Event Services team of staff and volunteer hosts to deliver safe, welcoming venue experiences.

Key Responsibilities

·       Plan crowd flow, entry and exit points, queue management, signage, accessibility, and spectator facilities for smooth ingress and egress.

·       Complete and track the integrated venue schedule, monitoring risks and enforcing Work Health and Safety procedures throughout planning.

·       Plan and oversee temporary front-of-house infrastructure, equipment, staffing strategies, headcount, and deployment plans for efficient delivery.

·       Manage, train, brief, and motivate the Event Services team of supervisors, team leaders, and volunteer hosts, delivering the venue-specific training program.

Required Competencies

·       Proven experience as a lead planner, with a minimum of 7 years working in international sports or venues.

·       Experience leading large teams, with motivational leadership, high energy, and positive relationship-management skills.

·       Excellent English writing, communication, and presentation skills, with clear and concise delivery to staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office suites, with strong attention to detail and high standards for quality output.

·       Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience in event and venue spectator services

Valued Experience

·       Effective negotiation skills with venue and functional-area stakeholders.

·       Familiarity with Los Angeles and its local culture.

·       Experience preparing post-event reports on performance, staffing, and revenue.

·       Knowledge of guidelines and legislation for spectator management at venues.

·       An entrepreneurial spirit that improves processes and efficiency.

What We Offer

·       Real ownership of the spectator experience at an Olympic and Paralympic venue.

·       Leadership of a large, energetic team of staff and volunteer hosts.

·       A collaborative Event Services network with central team and cluster support.

·       The chance to welcome the world's fans to Los Angeles in 2028.

What This Role Means for the Games

Every spectator's day at the Games runs through the plans you build and the team you lead, as smooth entry, short queues, and welcoming hosts turn a ticket into a lasting memory of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

·       The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

·       The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
