NCS Assistant – Sherpa Kids

Kinsale, Co. Cork | Hybrid – 2 days in office / 3 days remote

Starting salary: €30,000 per annum

Sherpa Kids is looking for an organised and detail-focused person to join our growing NCS team.

The NCS team manages the administration of the National Childcare Scheme across our services. The role includes processing NCS codes, applying subsidies to parents’ invoices, communicating with parents, processing claims and carrying out compliance checks.

As Sherpa Kids continues to grow, so does our NCS team. We have been expanding the team as the number of services and children we support increases.

You could be responsible for the NCS administration for around 30 services and 1,000 children, so being organised, structured and highly accurate is essential.​​​​

Previous NCS experience is not required. Full training is provided, with learning taking place on the job as you become familiar with the processes and systems.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Confident working with large spreadsheets, sorting, filtering and comparing data

Able to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records

Comfortable working to processes and deadlines

Able to work independently and take ownership of your workload

Good written communication skills for dealing with parents and colleagues

Once you are trained, you’ll have a high level of independence. We trust our team to manage their workload, meet deadlines and get the job done without being micromanaged.
