About Handshake AI

Human data is the core infrastructure to AI advancement. Frontier AI labs currently improve model capabilities with various data-intensive post-training techniques. We believe that data spend for AI training will increase by 3-5x in the next few years and continue for much longer as models take on new domains. Handshake AI supports all of the frontier AI labs, working on their most complex data at the largest scale.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Handshake is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager to build and grow our community of Fellows, the experts who power Handshake AI's data work. You will partner cross functionally to understand Fellows and what to build for them, how to message to them across channels, and design marketing launch motions around new products and programs.

• Fellow Insights: Gather inbound feedback and community insights, track what drives engagement and retention, and translate them into recommendations on what to build for Fellows

• Messaging & Content: Define the messaging and content hierarchy for Fellows (what to say, what not to say), and write content and email, including a monthly newsletter, in a voice Fellows trust

• Product Launches & Previews: Plan and execute launch marketing for Fellows, including previewing upcoming features, events, promoting different Fellow programs

• Fellow Stories: Partner with Community to capture, produce, and distribute Fellow stories, including video, to showcase Fellow success and build advocacy

• Community & Crisis Communication: Partner on communication to Fellows and negative sentiment response when issues surface

YOU HAVE

• Experience partnering with product teams by bringing insights and market data on what to build next for Fellows

• Experience in consumer-facing or community-driven marketing

• Experience engaging and growing an online community

• Creative approach to designing programs that turn users into advocates

• Consumer-facing writing and marketing instincts, including content and email

• Sound judgment handling negative sentiment and crisis communications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams

• Excitement for Handshake's mission and the AI economy

Bonus Points

• Product marketing experience, including messaging and positioning

• B2C or marketplace experience, such as social media, ecommerce, or community platforms like Reddit, Discord, or Facebook Groups, or gig, creator, or expert-network communities

• Interest in AI and the people who train and evaluate it
