About the job

Turn your Polish BHP qualifications into safer working practices at Graphcore’s Gdańsk office.

As our Occupational Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll support local safety arrangements and provide administration for the global team. The role suits recent graduates and early-career professionals ready to put their learning into practice.

You’ll help colleagues recognise risks, raise concerns and take practical steps to prevent harm. Your work will bring Graphcore’s global health and safety management system into daily practice in Gdańsk.

You’ll support risk assessments, inspections and incident investigations, working within your qualifications and competence. You’ll coordinate training, administer Cardinus and keep records accurate, while arranging workstation follow-up across locations.

Mentoring will help you build practical experience and develop your understanding of safety across a global technology business. Any international qualifications required by the business will form part of your development programme.

The team and culture

You’ll work with the Global H&S Manager, Workplace and People teams, and managers to turn findings into agreed actions. You’ll support first-aid arrangements, evacuation exercises and emergency communications with building management.

You’ll take responsibility for tracking compliance gaps and following up agreed actions, escalating issues promptly. Technical contractor assessments and complex workstation cases go to competent reviewers or trained assessors.

What we're looking for

  • You have completed higher education in a BHP field or specialisation, or postgraduate BHP studies. You meet the requirements for the intended statutory appointment, including a one-person BHP service where applicable
  • Your required BHP service training is current, including refresher training. You understand Polish health and safety legislation and can apply it within your role
  • You understand workplace risk assessments and inspections through study, placements or employment
  • You bring organisation, attention to detail and Microsoft Office skills, plus an interest in coordinating training and maintaining records
  • You solve practical problems, build relationships across locations and know when to seek guidance beyond your competence
  • You are fluent in Polish and communicate clearly in written and spoken Polish and English

Benefits

  • Flexible working: Balance your work and personal life with greater flexibility
  • Comprehensive healthcare and dental cover: Premium medical and dental insurance, with the option to extend cover to your family
  • Phantom equity: Share in Graphcore’s success
  • Fitness and wellbeing support: A fully funded Medicover gym card, giving you access to a wide range of gyms, fitness classes and leisure centres
  • Financial protection: Death and disability insurance, providing financial security for you and your loved ones
  • Retirement savings: Build your financial future, with a 4% employer contribution from Graphcore, alongside your own contributions
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): Confidential advice and support for you and your family across a range of personal, financial and wellbeing matters

We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences and are committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work.

We’re an equal opportunity employer and recognise that everyone brings different strengths and perspectives. If you need any adjustments during the interview process, just let us know - we’re happy to support you.
