Job Summary

The Operations Program Manager (OPM) will play a critical role in scaling the production of Formlabs' 3D printers and ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing operations in the Shenzhen Bay area. You will be a key leader in new product introduction (NPI), managing the entire lifecycle from concept to mass production. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, quality, and production, both internally and with our manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead NPI programs for new 3D printers and accessories, ensuring successful product launches that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing plans, including capacity planning, production scheduling, and materials management.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles are implemented and to resolve any production challenges.
  • Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and other key suppliers in the region, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues, developing mitigation plans and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Communicate program status and updates to key organizational stakeholders, including executive leadership.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. MBA is considered a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in operations program management, preferably in the consumer electronics or high-tech manufacturing industry.
  • Results-oriented and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of successfully launching new products into mass production.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
