About the job

Delart is home to a team of world-class engineers and project leaders dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced networking technologies, consumer devices, and innovative technology solutions. Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.

Overview

Join our hardware test automation engineering team to develop advanced test automation solutions for hardware verification and validation workflows. You'll architect robust Python-based frameworks and device drivers, integrate automated test systems with CI/CD and data pipelines, and help scale hardware-in-the-loop processes—impacting product quality and validation efficiency across diverse platforms and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with validation engineers to automate test cases and data analysis tasks for Verification and Validation activities.
  • Develop and extend Python frameworks and libraries for hardware device control, orchestrating tests, and automating data analysis.
  • Integrate automated tests into both existing and new CI/CD infrastructures.
  • Package, deploy, and support test software for Linux, Windows, and macOS-based laboratory and production hosts.
  • Write and maintain drivers for a wide range of devices and instruments (including ADB, serial/UART, SCPI/VISA, DAQs).
  • Build connections between test stations, DUTs (Devices Under Test), and a shared device farm to support hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Support hardware bring-up, test equipment setup, and interface definition with external fixture vendors.
  • Architect and maintain pipelines to transfer large-scale test and image data from local stations to cloud storage and queryable databases.
  • Create dashboards and monitoring tools for product test metrics, station health, and data pipeline status.
  • Write well-tested, reliable code and perform peer code reviews.
  • Develop and integrate AI-based tooling (agents, skills, etc.) to optimize engineering and validation workflows.
  • Occasional travel (up to 5-10%) to contract manufacturers in China.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, particularly in hardware or system test automation domains.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, using industry-standard practices for robust, maintainable code.
  • Proven experience onboarding into mature codebases, managing build systems, and participating in code reviews within collaborative teams.
  • Strong background in lab instrument and equipment automation (e.g., writing communication scripts for ADB, UART, SCPI/VISA, DAQs).
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and visualizing test data using libraries such as matplotlib and pandas or querying directly using SQL.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English for effective technical collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting verification and validation in consumer electronics.
  • Hands-on development in large monorepos and build systems (e.g., Bazel).
  • Experience automating Android device tests via ADB.
  • Skilled in building reliable automated data pipelines and real-time dashboards.
  • Track record designing scalable Python libraries or APIs (e.g., gRPC, protobuf).
  • Familiarity with robotics automation (motion stages, robotic fixtures) or camera-integrated measurements.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and system block diagrams.
  • Experience deploying device farms and developing CI for hardware-in-the-loop validation.
  • Proficiency with advanced AI code tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex).
  • Working professional proficiency in Mandarin for partnership with overseas manufacturing teams.
