What You'll Do:

CoreWeave’s Physical AI Engineering team builds and scales the core platform powering advanced engineering simulation and AI workflows. Our ambition is to become the super-intelligent AI test lab for the engineering industry, delivering the performant, reliable, and scalable foundation trusted by the world’s largest engineering companies.

About the role:

The Staff Frontend Engineer will own and evolve the Physical AI platform’s product surface: the data-heavy, workflow-centric web experience where engineers design experiments, compare runs, interact with agents, and convert complex test data into decisions. Operating at Staff-level scope (with openness to exceptional Senior Frontend Engineers ready to step into staff-level impact), you will own the frontend end-to-end-including component architecture, design system evolution, performance optimization, and production operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Design, Product, and Backend Engineering to design intuitive UIs for complex workflows, shape Python-backed API contracts, and integrate agentic capabilities safely. Additionally, you will drive frontend developer experience improvements, maintain high testing standards, and mentor engineers across the wider organisation.

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of building, maintaining, and architecting complex, data-heavy web applications at Senior or Staff scope.
  • Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, and web fundamentals, with deep experience structuring large-scale frontends across modules, state management, routing, and data-fetching patterns.
  • Proven background building visualization-centric UIs, dashboards, charts, time-series metrics, or experiment explorers for complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience integrating frontends with REST or GraphQL APIs, with a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, data modeling, and Python web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django).
  • Practical experience with database data flows (e.g., PostgreSQL), cloud/container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes), and frontend observability tools (Sentry, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
  • Strong habits around testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end), CI/CD pipelines, and frontend build tooling (Storybook, design systems, local dev ergonomics).
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring skills in high-ambiguity environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience building B2B SaaS UIs for technical audiences (e.g., ML engineers, data scientists, physical test engineers) or exposure to ML/AI workflows, experiment tracking, and agentic interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL, typed API clients in React, or SSR/SSG performance-focused frameworks.

Wondering if you're a good fit?

We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams-even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we've found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we'd love to talk.

  • You love to craft intuitive, detail-oriented web experiences that make complex, data-heavy engineering workflows feel seamless and fast.
  • You're curious about pushing the boundaries of Physical AI, agentic interfaces, and real-time experiment tracking platforms.
  • You're an expert in architecting scalable React/TypeScript systems, driving frontend performance, and mentoring teams on engineering craft.
