Funds and Investment Management Lawyer

We are currently seeking Funds and Investment Management Lawyers to work with leading financial institutions, asset managers, investment platforms, and other Axiom clients across a broad range of fund, product, regulatory, and investment management matters.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on fund structuring, launches, product development, investment strategies, distribution, and governance across private funds, UCITS, ETFs, LTAFs, NURS, private equity, private credit, real assets, multi-asset funds, and other alternative investment products.

• Draft, review, and negotiate investment management agreements, fund documentation, side letters, distribution arrangements, platform agreements, commercial contracts, and related legal documentation across multiple jurisdictions.

• Support regulatory change and implementation projects, including sustainability regulation, SFDR, fund marketing, product mapping, investor disclosures, governance processes, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.

• Partner with legal, product, investment, distribution, compliance, portfolio management, operations, and external counsel teams to provide practical, commercially focused advice on fund products, client queries, regulatory developments, and strategic business initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience advising on funds, investment management, asset management, private markets, fund structuring, product development, or financial services regulatory matters, gained in-house or within a law firm environment.

• Experience with private funds, alternative investments, UCITS, ETFs, LTAFs, NURS, private equity, private credit, real assets, multi-asset strategies, hedge funds, or segregated mandates.

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory experience across fund documentation, investment management agreements, side letters, distribution arrangements, investor materials, regulatory documentation, or commercial agreements.

• Excellent commercial judgment, stakeholder management, analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice in fast-paced, cross-functional investment management environments.
