Freight Execution Coordinator

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Freight Execution Coordinator   within our National Supply Chain department at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity .

As a Freight Execution Coordinator, you will join a team dedicated to maintaining the relationships with our carriers, by planning, preparing, and processing freight activities. With an eye on continuous improvement, we are looking for a proactive individual with a robust understanding of an agile and fast-paced FMCG environment. Your pursuit of efficiency, effectiveness, and product availability will ensure our products and services reach our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintaining our competitive edge.

What does the role look like?

• Provide timely and accurate information related to the status of freight movement.
• Assist in the relationship management of freight carriers and external stakeholders.
• Handle negotiations with external service providers to ensure optimum rates and results.
• Assist in the resolution of supply chain challenges, with a focus on long term solutions.
• Manage freight claims through investigation, resolution, root cause analysis, and cost recovery activities.
• Maintain various supply chain matrixes, templates and spreadsheets.
• Support the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.

What are we looking for?

• Demonstrated experience in supply chain, logistics or transport environment. Experience within domestic transport management (road/rail/coastal) is highly regarded.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or TM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data to support decision-making.
• Ability to effectively prioritise competing demands, balancing immediate needs with broader business objectives.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to quickly learn new systems, embrace technology, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.

Remuneration

• Transparent tiered salary range of $85,800 - $98,700 including Superannuation.
