About this role
The Used Car Buyer will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
- Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
- Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
- Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
- Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
- Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
- Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
- Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
- Demonstrated success in telemarketing, appointment setting, or sales roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong ability to engage with customers effectively, build rapport, and address their needs and concerns professionally.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone.
- Ability to handle rejection positively and persistently pursue leads, maintaining a positive attitude throughout.
- Comfortable using CRM software, productivity tools, and other technology platforms to manage leads and track progress.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Compensation: OTE $100K-$120K
Salary Range:
•
$100,000 -120,000 per year
Schedule:
- FULL TIME
- 5 days a week / 2 days off
- Weekend availability required
