The  Portfolio &  Program  Management  organization within Program Management  is  seeking  a   highly effective   and strategic  leader for the position of  Head  of  Program  Portfolio  Manage ment   to  lead the deployment of  Lucid’s  existing and future product lines .  Core responsibilities  include  defining, governing, and  optimizing  the enterprise product portfolio to maximize long-term business value, strategic alignment, and resource  efficacy .   This  role  serves as the central integrator between Product, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure that product investments align with corporate  objectives , market opportunities, organizational capacity, and financial targets.   The role oversees portfolio strategy,   roadmap balancing, governance processes, and portfolio performance management across current and future product programs. The successful candidate combines strategic vision, analytical rigor, business acumen, and executive influence to guide critical product and investment decisions at the highest levels of the organization.

Role:

  • Establish and lead portfolio governance processes, forums, and decision frameworks
  • Chair or facilitate  portfolio review meetings and executive decision reviews
  • Drive alignment on major product investment, resource allocation, and roadmap decisions
  • Ensure transparent, objective , and data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Evaluate and prioritize product, technology, and capital investment opportunities
  • Balance portfolio investments across multiple products, platforms, technologies, and time lines
  • Assess  and tradeoff  resource constraints, organizational capacity, and portfolio risks when making recommendations
  • Monitor roadmap execution and portfolio performance
  • Guide strategic adjustments as market, business, or technology conditions evolve
  • Develop high-quality recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Support annual planning, strategic reviews, and investment discussions through fact-based analysis and storytelling
  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and other key functions
  • Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities and objective s
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability in portfolio management activities
  • Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing portfolio management organization
  • Mentor portfolio managers, analysts, and strategic planning professionals

Qualifications:

  • 8 + years of experience in product planning, portfolio management, strategy, program management, finance, engineering management, or related functions
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex product, investment, or portfolio planning activities
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and strategic planning processes

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business , Engineering, Finance, Economics, Operations, or a related discipline

Preferred:

  • Master's degree (MBA or related field)
  • Experience leading portfolio or strategic planning functions within a large complex organization
  • Experience with capital planning, investment prioritization, and business case development
  • Advanced knowledge of portfolio management frameworks and strategic planning methodologies
  • Experience presenting recommendations to executive leadership teams

Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)
$189,000 — $277,200 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive  benefits package  including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
