About this role
- Process the payroll by reviewing time cards, calculating wages, preparing paychecks, and performing other compensation-related tasks
- Reconcile attendance logs, leaves, and timekeeping records to ensure accuracy before payroll runs
- Calculate and remit government contributions and taxes (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding taxes) while complying with Philippine labor laws.
- Keep up-to-date with applicable tax and compensation regulations to ensure legal compliance.
- Data and records management
- Act as the point of contact for resolving payroll discrepancies, answering queries regarding pay slip and addressing salary concerns.
- Process clearances and compute final pay (including leave conversions and pro-rated benefits) for separated employees.
- Communicating confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner to employee inquiries.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and data integrity regarding sensitive employee salary information.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and experience with HRIS/Payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations, tax laws, and government-mandated benefits.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
