Role Summary and Impact

The Senior Executive - Talent Acquisition & HR Business Partner (TA & BP) is a critical dual-function role responsible for driving recruitment efforts and providing comprehensive HR support for our operations in Sri Lanka. This individual will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, while also acting as a frontline HR Business Partner, assisting employees and managers with HR-related queries, policy implementation, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented, and empathetic professional who can balance the demands of talent acquisition with effective HR partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles within the Sri Lankan market.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand requirements, define job descriptions, and implement effective hiring strategies.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, and internal databases.
  • Conduct initial screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
  • Coordinate interviews, manage candidate communication, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Facilitate offer management, including salary negotiation, and extend offer letters.
  • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with accurate candidate data and recruitment progress.
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives to enhance our company's reputation as an employer of choice in Sri Lanka.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on hiring status, time-to-hire, and cost-per-hire.
  • Stay updated on talent market trends and recruitment best practices in Sri Lanka.

HR Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing guidance and support.•
  • Facilitate onboarding to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting and reviews.
  • Address employee relations matters and assist in investigations and resolution.
  • Collaborate on HR initiatives such as workforce planning, engagement, and analytics
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including exit discussions and documentation.Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
  • Assist in compensation reviews, benefits administration, and payroll inputs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory benefits and local compensation regulations.HR Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze HR data to derive insights on attrition, performance, and engagement.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership review and decision-making.Process Excellence & Change Support
  • Support standardization and streamlining of HR processes across Sri Lanka.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.

Skills & Competencies

  • Foundational understanding of Sri Lanka labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR policies
  • Early experience in employee relations and compliance-oriented HRBP support
  • Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in handling HR data and basic reporting
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to support and guide managers and employees
  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition and/or HR business partnering.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the full recruitment lifecycle in Sri Lanka.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages. Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong understanding of local labour laws and industry practices.
  • Degree or Master’s qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.

  • Timely closure of open positions within defined TAT
  • Effective stakeholder partnership and manager satisfaction.
  • Consistent and fair application of HR policies.
  • Improved employee experience and engagement.

This role plays a key role in supporting talent acquisition and HR business partnering initiatives while ensuring smooth HR operations and consistent implementation of people practices for WPP Media in Sri Lanka.
