Job Summary
Western Aircraft is looking for diligent and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technicians to join our dynamic team!
Aircraft Structures Technicians are responsible for inspecting and conducting structural repairs and modifications per blueprint specifications while utilizing hand tools and test equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.
Western Aircraft Inc. has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes applicants passing pre-employment testing in accordance with 14 CFR 120. • Assists experienced structures technicians with a variety of structural repairs and aircraft structural modifications including drilling, reaming to close tolerances, riveting, structural component fabrication • Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work • Documents all On-The-Job-Training (OJT) to support work experience • Practices good housekeeping of areas worked • Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner • Performs other duties as assigned
• Aviation or automotive mechanical experience a plus • Must possess the ability to follow detailed instructions. • Owns basic hand tools to complete work (list will be provided)
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check • Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
• Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
