The Challenge 🧩
As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Wallapop, your challenge will be to play a leadership role in designing, developing, and maintaining a complete data infrastructure and make it easily accessible to the entire domain team looking for synergies cross Wallapop to amplify the impact of the data.
What You Will Do 👇
- Lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure, including integrating and consolidating data from multiple sources for advanced analytics.
- Evaluate and select external analytics tools, platforms, and technologies to support advanced analytics capabilities.
- Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports to provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify their data needs and drive scalable data-driven solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior team members.
- Document analytics processes and establish clear practices for analytics tools to ensure long-term team scalability and easy onboarding.
What We’re Looking For 🔎
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, combined with a solid understanding of big data technologies.
- Strong coding skills and the ability to write maintainable, performant code.
- Proven expertise with ETL processes, data integration, and building reliable data pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based environments, ideally AWS.
- Experience developing interactive dashboards and data insights using Business Intelligence tools (such as Looker or Tableau).
- Advanced knowledge of data analytics concepts, techniques, and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex data issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to lead and work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish, manage timelines effectively, and deliver high-quality work.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Experience with project management, including managing timelines, resources, and delivering high-quality work within deadlines

Do note that all our jobs are 📍 Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.

Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.
Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
