About the job

Join UKAEA's Estates team and help support the effective delivery of the Estate Development Control (EDC) process. As an EDC Administrator, you'll play an important role in coordinating applications, maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is managed efficiently throughout the approval process. Your work will help keep estate development activities compliant, well organised and running smoothly, supporting UKAEA's mission to deliver sustainable fusion energy.

What You'll be Doing

  • Provide administrative support for the Estate Development Control process, ensuring applications are processed in line with established procedures.
  • Log, track and monitor EDC applications, maintaining accurate records and visibility of progress.
  • Maintain EDC documentation, digital filing systems and databases to ensure information is accurate, accessible and audit-ready.
  • Manage drawings, permits and documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring version control is maintained.
  • Monitor application timescales, highlighting overdue actions and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record actions and support follow-up activities.
  • Manage shared inboxes and respond to EDC-related enquiries, directing requests to the appropriate teams where required.
  • Support compliance by maintaining audit trails, performing routine data quality checks and following document control procedures.
  • Liaise with internal teams, project stakeholders and contractors to support the smooth coordination of EDC activities.
  • Provide administrative support for system-related tasks across the wider Estates team.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience working with a Common Data Environment (CDE) and document management systems.
  • Knowledge of Licence to Alter processes or similar property or estates control procedures.
  • Experience in a process-driven administrative, helpdesk or service support environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, documentation and audit trails within controlled processes.

UKAEA is an onsite organisation, and this role requires regular onsite presence (usually between 3-5 days in any given week) in line with business needs. We actively support flexible working arrangements where this is compatible with the role .
