Purpose of the Role

The Principal Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the successful delivery of a portfolio of complex projects and programmes across the T&T business. The role provides strategic leadership to project teams, ensuring safe, commercially successful and high-quality delivery while developing long-term client relationships and supporting business growth.

The role is accountable for operational performance, financial outcomes, governance and people leadership, creating an environment where teams consistently deliver exceptional client outcomes.

You will need to be fluent in both Dutch & English to be able to perform in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects from opportunity through to completion.
  • Provide strategic direction and governance across multiple project teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
  • Drive consistency in project delivery through best practice, robust governance and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.

Client Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Act as an executive sponsor for key client accounts.
  • Understand client business objectives and translate these into successful delivery solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client value and grow long-term partnerships.

Commercial Performance

  • Own the financial performance of the delivery portfolio.
  • Ensure strong commercial governance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Drive profitable delivery through effective forecasting, resource management and risk mitigation.
  • Support work-winning activity through client engagement, solution development and bid leadership.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with all governance, quality, health & safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead project reviews, assurance activities and performance reporting.
  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
  • Promote innovation, digital delivery and modern project management practices.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop Project Managers and delivery teams.
  • Build capability through mentoring, succession planning and professional development.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Support recruitment and talent retention aligned to business growth.

  • Successful implementation of governance standards
  • Growth of strategic client accounts
  • Experience within Technical & Transformation, FM, Construction or Property.
  • Professional Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or related discipline.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
  • Fluent in both Dutch & English
