Our employee-owned team of multi-disciplined engineering and design professionals is looking for a CAD Designer / Technician who is excited to support the design of various transportation projects.
As a member of our team, you will work alongside other professionals to develop designs for highways, interchanges, roundabouts, and other roadway features in coordination with a multi-discipline team that also includes Traffic, Utility, and Water Resource Engineering.

• Associate’s Degree or Certification in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field. • Previous experience or formal training CADD design/drafting (using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ORD). • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to participate in project team meetings and interact directly with technical professionals and clients on a frequent basis. • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of drafting techniques, plan development, quantity takeoffs, and related engineering practices. • Previous coursework or project assignments with an emphasis on roadway / highway design. • Experience in the development of project deliverables including geometric layouts, design plans, and/or the generation and use of 3-dimensional design models. • Knowledge of MnDOT standards and specifications.
The listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 0-4 years of related experience. Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
