We are seeking a dynamic and results driven QC Lab Technician to join our Building and Finishing Haines City Team.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Conduct testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with Sika QC specifications; report results in a timely manner to all levels of plant management
  • Maintain comprehensive safety and environmental compliance by adhering to all Sika Safety, EHS, and ESHQ policies; wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment; report unsafe acts or conditions immediately and actively work to improve lab safety
  • Manage QC data entry, record filing, lab equipment calibration, and inventory of lab supplies and chemicals; collect and verify Certificates of Analysis for incoming raw materials
  • Maintain formula integrity and create lab batches as required by Research and Development and plant management
  • Collaborate as an active QC representative within the Production team and support supervisor with sample shipments and logistics
  • Pursue continuous learning of plant processes and controls as they pertain to overall quality; support special projects aligned with corporate safety and efficiency initiatives
  • Associate degree or HS diploma with 1-3 years’ experience in overall QC testing and methodology in manufacturing environment.
  • Good math and computer skills required, competent with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Ability to problem solve required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with little supervision
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
