Product Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple technical projects concurrently, leading teams, and expertise in Agile and Kanban methodologies.
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience and be technically proficient, capable of unblocking developers as needed. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong ability & vision to create product roadmaps.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Discovery of Scope
•
Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
•
Conduct discovery sessions to understand business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints.
•
Define project scope, success criteria, and functional requirements.
•
Translate business needs into actionable product and engineering requirements.
•
Ensure alignment between business goals, customer expectations, and technical feasibility.
Project Planning & Execution
•
Plan, execute, and monitor multiple technical projects simultaneously.
•
Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
•
Track Agile delivery metrics including:
•
Burndown charts
•
Sprint velocity
•
Bug and defect metrics
•
Release readiness documents
•
Release checklists
•
Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
•
Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful project execution.
Project Management Tools
•
Hands-on experience with Jira, Asana, Linear, Azure DevOps (ADO), or similar project management tools.
•
Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, issue tracking, reporting, and workflow management.
•
Build dashboards and reports to monitor project health, team velocity, and delivery progress.
•
Ensure project documentation and tracking are maintained within project management platforms.
Team Leadership
•
Lead and manage cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, assigning tasks, and motivating team members to achieve project goals.
•
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Agile and Kanban Methodology
•
Utilize Agile and Kanban methodologies to effectively manage projects, including Scrum, Lean, or other Agile frameworks.
•
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
•
Drive continuous Agile improvements and promote engineering best practices.
Technical Knowledge
•
Possess technical expertise to understand and effectively communicate with development teams.
Product Roadmapping
•
Create and manage product roadmaps, aligning them with business goals and customer needs.
•
Develop strategic plans for product releases, including prioritization, resource allocation, and timeline management.
Stakeholder Management
•
Identify and manage project stakeholders, including internal and external stakeholders.
•
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
•
Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
Risk Management
•
Identify and proactively manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
•
Develop contingency plans and take corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
Quality Management
•
Establish quality standards and ensure project deliverables meet the specified quality requirements.
•
Monitor and measure project performance against quality metrics, implementing improvements as necessary.
Documentation
•
Keep accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related records.
•
Ensure documentation is organized and easily accessible to project stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
•
Evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance project outcomes and processes.
•
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project team and organization.
Qualifications
•
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment.
•
Proven experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies, such as Scrum, Lean, or other Agile frameworks.
•
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes.
•
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
•
Experience in risk management, quality management, and documentation.
•
Experience in architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale applications.
•
Experience with database modeling and development.
