Network Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and talented technologist to join us as a member of our Network Engineering team. The team is responsible for the architecture, design, administration and support of our global network infrastructure.

What you’ll do
The Network Engineer will help support and expand the networking environment at Schonfeld. You will research requirements and interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders to implement and deploy our global network infrastructure. You will participate in the implementation, operations and troubleshooting of our global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate has the ability to consistently apply broad knowledge of network administration to the diagnosis and resolution of network problems.

What you’ll bring
What you need:

• At minimum, 3 years of experience in a network engineering role focusing on enterprise network design and administration

• Experience with routing and switching in a Cisco/Arista environment

• Experience with Next Gen Firewalls - Palo Alto, Fortinet

• Experience with WiFi technologies - Meraki

• Detailed knowledge of BGP, and OSPF network routing protocols

• Experience with Multicast routing concepts including the use of PIM, and IGMP

• Experience with common network management protocols such as SNMP, TACACS, Netflow, Sflow

• Experience supporting Linux infrastructure

• Automation Mindset

• Python

• Ansible

• Network overlay concepts - VXLAN and eVPN

• Experience with cloud - AWS and Azure

• Experience with network disaster recovery

• Financial Services experience a plus
