About the Role
We are looking for an Intelligent Automation Tech Lead based in Australia  who is ready to step in and make an immediate impact. You will lead the technical execution of enterprise automation programs on the  Microsoft Power Platform  ecosystem, spanning Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Copilot Studio, while designing and deploying AI-powered Copilot agents that genuinely transform the way businesses operate.  
You'll be the technical authority on client engagements, mentoring a high-performing team of engineers and acting as the bridge between complex business challenges and brilliant technical execution. You'll also be the founding technical voice for Roboyo's Microsoft Power Platform practice in Australia, shaping how we deliver, what standards we set, and how the team grows

What You Will Own


• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise automation solutions on  Power Automate  (cloud and desktop flows),  Power Apps , and  Microsoft Copilot Studio  

• Design and deploy  Copilot agents and AI-assisted workflows , integrating them into core business functions via Microsoft 365, Teams, and Dataverse  

• Define and establish Power Platform delivery frameworks, governance standards, and CoE practices, including ALM, CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, coding standards, and testing frameworks — to be adopted across the practice  

• Own the full delivery pipeline, from requirements and architecture through to testing, deployment, and hypercare, within scope, budget, and timeline  

• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of automation engineers and business analysts  

• Act as the trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, conducting workshops, translating business requirements into scalable solutions, and navigating architectural decisions with confidence  

• Manage post-deployment incident resolution, performance optimisation, and handover to managed services  

 

Must Have:  


• 8+ years in automation, consulting, or related technical leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to translate that experience into enterprise  Microsoft Power Platform  deliveries (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)  

• Demonstrated experience establishing or maturing automation delivery frameworks, best practices, or CoE governance, not just operating within existing ones  

• Proven experience with  Microsoft Copilot Studio , custom agent design, topic architecture, and enterprise data source integration  

• Track record as a Technical Lead, with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams on client-facing engagements  

• Strong ALM and CI/CD knowledge using  Azure DevOps , including environment management, solution packaging, and deployment pipelines  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to and influencing non-technical executives  

Nice to Have:  


• Microsoft certifications:  PL-400 ,  PL-600 , or  AI-102  

• Experience with  AI Builder ,  Azure OpenAI , or  Cognitive Services  integrations  

• Familiarity with  Power BI  for automation performance reporting  

• Programming experience in  C#, .NET, JavaScript, or Python  for custom connectors and PCF controls  

• Background migrating legacy RPA workflows (UiPath, Blue Prism, or similar) to Power Automate Desktop
