Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hotel's pre-opening sales and marketing strategy in alignment with ownership and brand objectives
- Conduct market analysis, competitive positioning, and segmentation to inform the commercial business plan
- Drive pre-opening business development across corporate, group, and leisure segments to establish base business
- Oversee development and execution of the pre-opening marketing plan, including brand launch, public relations, and digital presence
- Recruit, hire, and develop the sales, catering, and marketing team
- Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget in support of overall revenue objectives
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and client engagements
- Collaborate with the General Manager and pre-opening leadership team to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and operational readiness
- Provide regular performance reporting to ownership and/or management company leadership
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing, including at least two (2) years in a Director of Sales, Director of Sales & Marketing, or equivalent leadership capacity
- Prior experience with hotel pre-opening, conversion, or new-market launch strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success in developing sales strategy and achieving revenue targets
- Working knowledge of sales and catering systems, CRM platforms, and digital distribution channels
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational leadership skills
- Willingness to travel as required for sales activity and industry representation
