As the Manager Site Operations – Supply Chain , you'll lead the Melbourne Supply Chain operation that supports aircraft maintenance across Qantas, Jetstar and customer airlines. You'll be responsible for operational performance across warehousing, logistics, service delivery, safety, compliance and workforce leadership, ensuring maintenance teams have access to the parts, materials and tooling they need to keep aircraft moving safely and efficiently.
Leading a team of frontline leaders and operational staff, you'll partner closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain stakeholders to optimise service performance, deliver continuous improvement initiatives, manage operational risk and create a culture focused on safety, accountability and customer outcomes.
At its core, this role is about leading people, improving operational performance and ensuring critical supply chain services support the safe return of aircraft to service.
You’ll have:
- Significant leadership experience within a complex logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, aviation, transport or distribution environment
- Demonstrated success leading large operational teams and embedding a high-performance culture
- Experience balancing safety, service, operational and commercial outcomes in a regulated environment
- Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to influence across multiple business functions and customer groups
- Experience driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and change initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in dynamic operational environments
- Experience leading workforce planning, resource allocation and operational performance activities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively from frontline teams through to senior leadership
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
