You will be supported by an enthusiastic team of staff to help you develop skills in caring for patients across a range of specialities. You will be given the opportunity to undertake a competency based training package and will be supported via the allocation of a suitable mentor and/or buddy system.

We also have a number of dedicated educational/training mornings identified throughout  the year and an excellent IT facility to support with online training.

To enable your development, we have a dedicated team of educational practitioners who are focused on delivering a meaningful and achievable educational programme.

Leadership & Education

You will be encouraged to pursue Leadership and Management training, enabling you to grow as a clinical leader and develop strong decision‑making skills within the perioperative environment.

Essential:

  • Current RN/AHP, registration with NMC/HCPC
  • An awareness of research and evidence based practice relevant to clinical area

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as Scrub Practitioner would be desirable but not essential, as in-house training would be provided;
  • You will need to be open and adaptable to learning new skills and developing your Leadership skills.
