About this role
PlusAI is a Physical AI company pioneering AI-based virtual driver software for factory-built autonomous trucks. Headquartered in Silicon Valley with operations in the United States and Europe, Plus was named by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies. Partners including TRATON GROUP’s Scania, MAN, and International brands, Hyundai Motor Company, Iveco Group, Bosch, and DSV are working with Plus to accelerate the deployment of next-generation autonomous trucks. If you’re ready to make a huge impact and drive the future of autonomy, Plus is looking for talented individuals to join its fast-growing teams.
About the role:
Billions of test miles are needed to ensure autonomous driving is statistically safe. What’s more, these test miles must cover a wide variety of conditions in lighting, weather, road topologies, traffic patterns and so on. In addition to real-life road testing, simulation is a safe, cheap, fast and rich mechanism with which engineers can develop new algorithms/models and detect regressions. You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on developing simulation capabilities to enable testing, prototyping, and validation of the self-driving software stack. You will work closely with many component teams to understand simulation requirements and develop tools to meet objectives. This software will integrate both synthetic and recorded data to predict how the autonomous vehicle will behave in scenarios and gauge real-world performance. You will work in areas related to deep learning, computer graphics, physics simulations, vehicle dynamics modeling, and multi-agent systems, etc.
Your opportunities joining PlusAI
Work, learn and grow in a highly future-oriented, innovative and dynamic field.
Wide range of opportunities for personal and professional development.
Catered free lunch, unlimited snacks and beverages.
Highly competitive salary and benefits package, including 401(k) plan.
• Design scalable ML workflows for generating AV scenarios - ranging from traffic simulations to synthetic scenario creation from a natural language specification. • Contribute to tooling for migrating scenario creation using the traditional approach to AI-based scenario understanding and validation • Own the development and upkeep of the simulation framework, driving its reliability and performance to unblock all technical stakeholders. • Collaborate directly with internal customers and partner teams to provide solutions for their test creation workflows. • Have an opportunity to tackle simulation and autonomy evaluation challenges across various areas of the autonomy system, including motion planning, mapping, Controls. • Create and extend software for behavior, pathfinding, road networks, spatial queries, collision detection, vehicle control, vehicle dynamics, etc.
• MS or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field • Good development skills in modern C++ and Python • Proficiency in ML libraries and experience in transformer and diffusion architectures • Basic understanding of generative models
• 2+ years of Industry experience in ML and C++ software • Familiarity with AV simulation environments and driving datasets
