1)      carrying out the operational and administrative activities on academic and student matters with students, professors and alumni of the supervised academic programs of the School;

2)      organization and conducting meetings of the disciplinary committee for students enrolled in the supervised academic programs, as well as other committees within the supervised academic programs of the School;

3)      carrying out the activities with purpose of conclusion and execution of contracts and additional agreements initiated by the School within the framework of the supervised academic programs of the School;

4)      organization of the processes of students internships as a part of the supervised academic programs in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the University;

5)      participation, if necessary, in the process of students admission to the academic programs of the School, as well as their orientation and adaptation to the School in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the University;

6)      organization and execution of the processes of registration, transfer, dismissal and graduation of students, as well as the examination process of the supervised academic programs of the School in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the University;

7)      organization and execution of activities for payment or reimbursement of expenses occurred  during implementation of student final projects (Capstone, Thesis, Dissertation) within the academic supervised programs of the School, as well as organization of the trips of student studying on the supervised academic programs of the School in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the University;

8)      organization of processes on student feedback on courses within the academic supervised programs of the School, analysis of the data received;

9)      participation in activities to promote academic programs, including the School’s activities aimed at attracting students to academic programs in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the University;

10)   organization of guest lectures, seminars, conferences with the participation of invited lecturers to the supervised academic programs of the School;

11)  organization the collection, sorting and archiving of students examination papers of supervised academic programs of the School in the end of each semester;

12)  consultation of faculty on organization of the educational processes and students on academic performance, as well as the identification and support of students with low academic performance, so called “students at risk” within the academic supervised programs of the School;

13)  participation in the process of budget development and the School’s investment plan for the corresponding financial year and for the medium term within the framework of the supervised academic programs of the School;

14)  work with incoming correspondence, with requests for structural divisions of the University, timely submission of answers to letters, citizens' appeals, within the framework of the supervised academic programs of the School;

15)  participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the framework of the supervised area;

16) timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Dean and Head of the School and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers.

School of Engineering, Nazarbayev University

  • Knowledge of laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education and science;
  • knowledge in the field of organization and conduct of the educational process;
  • skills of conducting psychological and educational work with students;
  • basic negotiation skills;
  • basic knowledge of planning of the work process;
  • knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Google products (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Drive), Student Information and Registration Systems, Moodle;
  • fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English
