About this role
Our client is an early-stage, well-funded fintech startup building a next-generation global investment platform. Their mission is to provide retail investors with seamless access to international financial markets through a high-performance, mobile-first trading experience.
You'll work closely with distributed engineering and product teams across the US and Asia to build a fast, secure, and scalable mobile platform for global investors.
- Lead the design, development, and launch of a flagship mobile application from the ground up.
- Build a secure, intuitive, and high-performance mobile experience for a consumer-facing financial platform.
- Develop low-latency features capable of supporting real-time market data and a large concurrent user base.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to influence APIs, system architecture, and platform capabilities.
- Evaluate and drive key technical decisions across React Native and native mobile technologies (iOS/Android) to ensure long-term scalability.
- Establish engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, and collaborative development processes.
- Work closely with international teams across multiple time zones in a highly collaborative remote environment.
- Proven experience building and shipping large-scale consumer mobile applications.
- Experience within fintech, digital banking, cryptocurrency, trading platforms, payments, or other high-transaction environments is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with React Native and/or native mobile development (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java).
- Comfortable working closely with backend services and APIs, with a full-stack mindset.
- Strong English communication skills with experience collaborating in distributed international teams.
- Self-driven and comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with a high level of ownership and autonomy.
- Passion for building products from an early stage and influencing both technical and product direction.
