  • Ability to guide PCB layout vendors or internal layout designers through placement, routing, constraints, documentation, and design reviews.
  • Experience releasing PCB fabrication packages, assembly documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing support files.
  • Hands-on experience supporting PCB bring-up, debug, system test, and early production builds.
  • Ability to operate in fast-moving environments where requirements may evolve and engineering judgment is required.
  • Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to drive designs from concept through working hardware.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field, with 15+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, bringing up, and releasing complex PCB and hardware systems.
  • Experience with AI hardware, accelerator platforms, high-performance compute, networking platforms, or advanced semiconductor evaluation boards.
  • Experience designing boards that include high-speed digital, RF, analog, and power circuitry on the same platform.
  • Familiarity with package-to-board interactions, advanced packages, multi-die systems, or chiplet-based systems.
  • Experience working with OSATs, PCB fabricators, assembly houses, contract manufacturers, and external design/layout vendors.
  • Experience with thermal, mechanical, enclosure, and connector constraints in compact or production hardware systems.
  • Experience supporting hardware through customer evaluation, field deployment, or manufacturing transition.
  • Background with FPGA-based platforms, PCIe root complex/endpoint systems, 10G Ethernet, RF modules, or embedded system boards.
  • Mythic reference boards and hardware platforms are robust, reliable, and require minimal re-spins.
  • Board designs successfully integrate silicon, package, power, clocking, high-speed interfaces, and mechanical constraints.
  • Hardware platforms are easy to bring up, stable in system integration, and ready for customer or partner use.
  • PCB layouts meet signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and reliability expectations.
  • Prototype builds transition smoothly into manufacturable, documented, and supportable hardware.
  • External vendors receive clear guidance, complete documentation, and timely technical decisions.
  • Integration, product, test, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams have the hardware support they need to move quickly.

At Mythic, hardware design is how we turn advanced silicon into real systems that customers and partners can evaluate, integrate, and deploy.

This role is central to building the boards and platforms that showcase the full value of Mythic’s technology. You will make critical design decisions, work across silicon and systems, and directly influence the quality, usability, and manufacturability of Mythic hardware.

If you are a hands-on senior hardware engineer who enjoys building complex boards, solving system-level problems, working with vendors, and driving designs all the way from concept to functioning hardware, we should talk.

  • Work on ambitious AI hardware with real system complexity.
  • Own critical board and systems design at a company where your work directly impacts product delivery.
  • Join a highly collaborative team solving difficult engineering problems across silicon, package, board, and system design.
  • Move fast, make decisions, and build from first principles.
  • Have outsized impact in a role with real scope and visibility.
