Mitek Systems is looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to lead our Check Intelligence product portfolio. This role is ideal for a hands-on product leader who can balance strategic ownership with day-to-day execution, while developing and guiding a high-performing product team.

You will lead product strategy and execution for Mitek's Check Intelligence portfolio, working closely with engineering, data science, fraud experts, operations, sales, and customer-facing teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and market-relevant solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of check processing, mobile deposit workflows, financial institution operations, and evolving check fraud trends.

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for the Check Intelligence business.
  • Translate check processing needs, deposit workflows, check fraud trends, customer requirements, regulatory expectations, and market opportunities into clear product requirements and investment priorities.
  • Partner closely with engineering, data science, fraud experts, and operations to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing check intelligence capabilities.
  • Lead roadmap planning and prioritization across fraud prevention, deposit decisioning, image quality, risk signals, APIs, analytics, operational tooling, and customer-facing capabilities.
  • Manage and coach a team of product managers, helping them improve product discovery, requirements quality, stakeholder management, execution discipline, and business ownership.
  • Establish and monitor product KPIs, including fraud detection performance, false positive rates, customer adoption, revenue growth, operational efficiency, deposit completion rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, customer success, implementation, and support teams to support customer conversations, roadmap alignment, go-to-market readiness, and product adoption.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years leading product teams or managing product managers.
  • Experience owning complex B2B, SaaS, API-based, financial services, fraud prevention, risk management, payments, or banking technology products.
  • Strong understanding of check processing, mobile deposit, deposit review workflows, financial institution operations, and check fraud prevention.
  • Knowledge of check fraud trends and common fraud typologies, including duplicate presentment, altered checks, counterfeit checks, forged endorsements, account takeover-related deposit fraud, mule activity, and

coordinated fraud rings.

  • Experience building or managing fraud detection, risk scoring, decisioning, analytics, workflow, or intelligence products.
  • Proven ability to define product strategy, build roadmaps, prioritize effectively, and drive execution across engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, including comfort with product metrics, fraud performance metrics, customer usage data, business cases, and outcome-based reporting.
  • Strategic product leader who can connect market trends, check fraud patterns, customer needs, and business goals into a clear product direction.
  • Hands-on operator who is willing to dig into requirements, customer issues, data, product gaps, and execution details.
  • Strong product leader who develops product talent, raises the quality of product thinking, and creates accountability within the team.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure, prioritization, and clarity to complex product and customer situations.
  • Strong collaborator who can align engineering, data science, sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and executive stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused leader who understands how to balance customer commitments with scalable product strategy.
  • Technically fluent and able to engage deeply on fraud signals, risk models, APIs, platform capabilities, image intelligence, and decisioning logic.
  • Outcome-oriented leader with a strong bias for action, disciplined execution, and measurable business impact.
