As a Sr. Application Delivery Engineer I , you’ll engineer, administer, and optimize enterprise application delivery and load-balancing solutions with the goal of making an impact across the federal government. What you’ll do:

  • Perform day-to-day system administration tasks to ensure the health, capacity, and reliability of application delivery network and load balancing systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to application delivery services or network configurations.
  • Evaluating, engineering, and recommending network optimization and application acceleration techniques to enhance system efficiency.
  • Direct and support application delivery and load balancing systems (F5) in on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based environments, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
  • Utilize advanced tools and analytics to identify and resolve system or network issues impacting application delivery performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and workflows associated with application delivery system administration.
  • Employ automation and orchestration tools to streamline configuration management, monitoring, and maintenance tasks for application delivery systems.

What you’ll need to succeed:


An active Top Secret security clearance with current or previously held SCI access.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred; relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting application delivery, load balancing, and related network infrastructure, with hands-on expertise in F5 technologies.
  • Experience administering and maintaining application delivery and load-balancing systems to ensure availability, capacity, performance, and reliability.
  • Strong experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting complex application delivery and network configuration issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, engineer, and recommend network optimization and application acceleration solutions that improve performance and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience supporting F5 application delivery and load-balancing solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  • Experience using advanced monitoring, analytics, and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve issues impacting application delivery performance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, procedures, and operational workflows.


Experience using automation and orchestration tools to streamline configuration management, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of application delivery systems.

SALARY RANGE: $143,000 – $175,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Company-paid training and/or certifications
  • Referral bonuses
