As an Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on software development experience while contributing to real-world projects on one of Lightcast's API development teams. Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional partners, you will support the design, development, testing, and documentation of software solutions while building your technical skills and solving meaningful engineering challenges.

Support engineering projects through research, design, development, testing, and documentation
•
Collaborate with engineers, technical teams, and project managers to achieve project goals
•
Participate in the design, prototyping, and scoping of engineering solutions
•
Prepare technical documentation related to engineering projects and processes
•
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions with guidance from experienced engineers
•
Participate in training and development opportunities to expand technical knowledge and engineering skills
•
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred
•
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, Rust, or C++
•
Understanding of basic software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
•
Familiarity with database concepts, including SQL, NoSQL, and relational databases
•
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
•
Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to quickly develop new technical skills
