KKR is seeking a Loan Operations Analyst with interest in loan operations, asset management, and fund/GAV reporting to join its Asset Liability Portfolio Services (ALPS) team based in San Francisco, California. This role supports full lifecycle processing, reconciliation, and control of portfolio positions within Geneva. The Loan Operations Analyst will support the Fund Accounting and Controllership teams during monthly and quarterly closing, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

An ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and a proactive mindset, and will be eager to build expertise in investment operations. Prior coursework or internship exposure to Private Credit, Middle Market Loans, or Structured Products is a plus, but not required. The role calls for strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support end-to-end investment lifecycle processing, including trade capture, reconciliation, and settlement.
  • Maintain and resolve cash and position reconciliation exceptions daily.
  • Provide fund accounting support for monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
  • Partner with offshore operational support teams to help ensure adherence to process controls and SLAs.
  • Monitor and maintain position reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across portfolios.
  • Provide support to the Fund Accounting and Controllership teams during monthly and quarterly close, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the broader Investment Operations group.
  • Partner with KCS to provide SMA and client/reporting support, responding to client and internal reporting needs across SMAs and funds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Investment Operations or a related function within asset management, fund administration, or investment banking (internship experience counts).
  • Exposure to investment lifecycle concepts is a plus, e.g. cash management, corporate actions, loan processing, or credit activity processing (drawdowns, paydowns, rollovers).
  • Interest in developing expertise in institutional/alternative portfolio management and investment or insurance accounting solutions.
  • Familiarity with Geneva, Wall Street Office, or OMS/EMS platforms is a plus, not required.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in Excel required; experience with VBA, Visio, or data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and adaptability in managing evolving business needs.
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude and a desire to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

This is the expected annual base salary range for this San Francisco-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range
$70,000 — $85,000 USD
