This is a full-time position consisting of being a member of a travelling two-man crew performing on-site kiosk repair and refurbishment at Dippin’ Dots National accounts throughout the U.S. The scope of work also includes performing routine preventive maintenance on Dippin’ Dots freezers located at National accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Cleaning
- Painting
- Removal and application of vinyl graphics
- Minor plumbing and electrical repair
- Minor fiberglass repair
- Minor laminate repair/replacement
- Minor repairs requiring basic carpentry
COMPETENCIES:
Field kiosk refurbishment tasks include:
- Ability to travel extensively, primarily driving but occasional air travel is required.
- Technical aptitude.
- Experience in the use of basic hand power tools: drill, buffer, circular saw, trim router, jig saw.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Remove and reapply vinyl to DD equipment.
Freezer preventive maintenance tasks include :
- Cleaning of compressor compartment – condenser fan and coils
- Replacement of basic components as needed:
- Lids and/or lid parts (handle, hinge, lock)
- Electrical components: Condenser fan, power cord, controller
- Other: casters, compressor grill
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Required Experience:
Basic Carpentry, Basic Plumbing, Basic Electrical preferred
Specific skills training will be provided in-house.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel extensively, primarily driving but occasional air travel is required.
- Overtime required as needed
