Lead Fullstack Camunda Developer

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 31, 2026

Work Set Up: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in office)

Clearance Required: BPSS eligibility required

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Lead Fullstack Camunda Developer with extensive experience designing and implementing Camunda solutions, alongside strong full-stack development expertise across Java, Spring Boot, React, SQL, OpenShift, and modern DevOps technologies. The successful candidate will provide architectural guidance, lead cross-functional delivery, and develop scalable, secure, and highly testable workflow solutions within a banking and financial services environment.

What you will do:

• Provide expert architectural guidance on Camunda 8 process orchestration patterns, including service tasks, user tasks, and job workers, to meet business requirements.
• Deliver Camunda, Java, and React-based Lending Origination workflow solutions.
• Oversee technical design and architecture, ensuring alignment with Wholesale Lending design standards.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers and testers, to deliver sprint objectives.
• Track and report delivery metrics, including velocity and throughput, through governance forums.
• Lead the adoption of relevant technologies and development practices, including AI tooling.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and maintain timely updates in JIRA.
• Translate business requirements into clean, scalable, and testable code.
• Deliver features and user stories with requirements for 100% automated test coverage.
• Provide third-line support for the production environment and support first-line UAT activities.
• Meet CIB metric standards, including TADS, and maintain required standards.
• Apply Test Driven Development, CI/CD, and microservices development practices.

• Bring extensive experience designing and implementing Camunda solutions, with strong expertise in Camunda 8 process orchestration.
• Demonstrate strong back-end development experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JUnit, RestAssured, and Mockito.
• Demonstrate front-end development experience with React.js, Redux, Axios, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Bring strong SQL experience, with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
• Demonstrate experience with aPaaS OpenShift V4 and cloud-based application platforms.
• Bring experience with DevOps and development tools including GitLab, Stash, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, and Veracode.
• Demonstrate experience with build tools including Maven, Gradle, and NPM.
• Demonstrate strong skills in Test Driven Development, CI/CD, and microservices.
• Bring experience working within an Agile project environment.
• Demonstrate experience working in IT projects, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Bring experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ as an advantage.
• Hold a Computer Science degree or demonstrate equivalent understanding of Computer Science, Object-Oriented Design, and Data Structures as an advantage.
• Demonstrate eligibility for BPSS clearance.
