GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities and locations
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, corrections, and recurring entries
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
- Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and other account reconciliations
- Investigate discrepancies and assist with inventory and cost-of-sales accounting
- Support AP, AR, audit preparation, and tax compliance activities
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Partner with branch and operational teams to resolve accounting questions
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and automation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
- Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience preferred
- Heavy equipment, construction equipment, trucking, automotive, or dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP or dealership management systems is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Broad accounting exposure across a complex, multi-location business
