Position Summary
GHJ Search & Staffing has partnered with a nationally recognized nonprofit organization seeking an Accountant to join their team. The role is responsible for day-to-day accounting duties including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, assisting with the audit and more.

Responsibilities: • • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable and senior accounting staff • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain reliable financial reporting • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner • Coordinate the annual audit process and prepare required supporting documentation • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of cash records • Monitor cash flow and maintain daily cash forecasts to support operational liquidity • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal in accordance with GAAP
