FTMO recently acquired OANDA Group, one of the world's leading online trading groups, and we're now looking for a Compliance Monitoring Specialist to execute and manage OANDA's Compliance Monitoring Programme.

In this role, you'll ensure internal controls function effectively and align with regulatory requirements, while assisting the Head of Compliance in continually monitoring, assessing, and strengthening the company's control framework and risk management systems.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Compliance Monitoring & Assurance: Execute end-to-end compliance reviews across all business functions, evaluating internal controls related to client, employee, senior management, technology, financial crime, and regulatory reporting risks.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Draft clear, comprehensive monitoring reports and present findings to the Head of Compliance, highlighting key risk areas and actionable recommendations.
  • Procedure Development: Design, review, and refine compliance monitoring policies, testing procedures, and review frameworks to maintain high standards of governance.
  • Remediation & Improvement: Identify control deficiencies and collaborate with operational teams to develop and execute practical, timely remediation plans that strengthen processes.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Maintain an in-depth, up-to-date working knowledge of relevant regulatory rules to provide pragmatic advice and guidance across internal departments.
  • Culture & Awareness: Act as a compliance champion, embedding a strong regulatory mindset and risk-aware culture across all levels of the organization.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE?

  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in a generalist compliance or compliance monitoring role within the FX / CFD sector.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of FCA rules, handbooks, and the broader regulatory environment governing financial markets.
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; relevant professional compliance certifications (e.g., ICA, CISI) are highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail, capable of identifying root causes and systemic control weaknesses.
  • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write concise reports and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
