Te Tūranga – About the role
As the Lower North Island (LNI) Safety & Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting and evolving our safety culture across our Transport and Distribution Centre network. Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll help embed safety and wellbeing into everyday business while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll also:
Support the delivery of the Safety & Wellbeing strategy and Annual Tactical Plan across the network
Provide guidance on incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented
Lead hazard identification, risk assessments and maintain hazard/risk registers
Coach and support leaders and teams to build a proactive safety culture
Deliver safety training and monitor KPIs, reporting on performance and compliance

You’re a proactive and confident safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys influencing positive change across diverse teams.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
A relevant Health & Safety qualification (desirable)
Strong knowledge of NZ health & safety legislation and ACC frameworks
Experience in incident investigations, risk management and safety systems (e.g. ACC WSMP)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, coach and influence stakeholders
Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt in a dynamic environment
