IT Asset Management is responsible for the management of technology assets, which includes optimizing the value and cost of technology assets while mitigating the risks these assets present to the organization throughout their life. This is done by establishing an effective technology life cycle that spans from technology asset selection, operation, refresh, migration, optimization, all the way through the retirement and disposal of the asset.
The IT Asset Management Coordinator role will aid the IT Asset Management team in ensuring that critical IT asset details are accurately discovered and populated in the Configuration Management Database CMDB and are secure and risk free per security policies, maintaining peak operations and support while in service.

Responsibilities:
Asset Procurement:
Collaborate with procurement and vendors to acquire IT assets according to organizational needs.
Ensure that all purchased assets meet quality standards and adhere to budgetary constraints.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions.
Asset Deployment:
Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure proper installation, configuration, and functionality of assets.
Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:
Maintain an efficient IT asset tracking system.
Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of asset records.
Monitor and report on asset utilization, availability, and performance.
Software License Management:
Manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
Conduct regular license audits to ensure adherence to software usage policies.
Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve licensing issues.
Asset Maintenance and Upgrades:
Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and longevity of IT assets.
Plan and execute asset upgrades in collaboration with relevant teams.
Monitor technological advancements to recommend hardware and software upgrades.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT assets, including specifications, configurations, and maintenance history.
Generate regular reports on IT asset status, utilization, and performance.
Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing asset management processes.
What We Are Seeking:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2+ years of experience in IT asset management, IT support, or related roles.
