At Field Nation, financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence are foundational to scaling our marketplace. The Senior Accountant is crucial to ensuring that the company’s books are accurate, compliant, and closed on time.
This position reports to the Assistant Controller and is based in Minneapolis, MN. Remote candidates with the right skillset will also be considered.

- Lead month-end close activities, including GL reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis to identify trends and insights.
- Support core accounting operations, including purchase-to-pay, commissions processing through Captivate IQ, and partnership with People Ops.
- Support external audit and tax activities by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with the tax team.
- Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and stronger reconciliations.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred (active or inactive).

3 - 5 years progressive accounting/finance experience, in a SaaS, marketplace, or PE-backed company.

Experience with ERP and financial systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).

Proven ability to adapt to fast growth and system/process change

Expert knowledge of Excel.

Proven ability to think critically and demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, including with offshore accounting teams.

Excellent attention to detail while maintaining a view of the big picture.

We believe it’s important to share the compensation range to best understand the full opportunity of a role! We select our initial range based on reliable compensation survey data. Other factors we consider in setting the specific pay for an individual will generally include, among other things, experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity to provide competitive offers.
Additionally, every role is eligible for variable pay dependent on the position. As an agile and growing organization, the business needs may change. This may result in us hiring someone with less or more experience than the job description states. If that does happen, we will communicate the updated salary range and the new role to you as a candidate.
