• Work with onsite teams and property management to improve waste sorting, recycling practices, and diversion performance.

• Assist with rollout of standardized waste procedures, signage, training materials, and operational guidance.

• Collect, review, and organize waste data from vendors (e.g., tonnage reports, diversion rates, invoices, certificates of recycling).

• Maintain waste tracking spreadsheets and dashboards to support performance monitoring and reporting.

• Support waste audits, site walk-throughs, and identification of contamination or diversion improvement opportunities.

• Track corrective actions related to waste audits, certification findings, or vendor performance issues.

• Collaborate with sustainability, environmental compliance, and operations teams on waste-related initiatives.

• Assist with documentation and evidence collection for internal reviews and external certifications.

• Support responses to internal and external data requests related to waste, diversion, and materials management metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Foundational understanding of waste management, recycling, and materials diversion concepts.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with data tracking and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, waste management, or related field preferred.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in sustainability, waste management, facilities support, or environmental programs.

• Internship or academic experience with recycling programs, waste audits, or sustainability initiatives is a plus.
