- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and monthly management account
- Conduct analysis of financial data in management account to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Provide guidance and accounting advice to team members whenever necessary.
- Identify opportunities to improve GL processes and drive efficiency through automation and AI tools
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven work experience in a GL accountant or general accounting role, preferably in shared services and audit.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes
- Adept at navigating ERP systems and specialized accounting platforms, with Oracle NetSuite expertise considered a significant asset.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve workflow efficiency
Nice-to-have:
- ACCA (part-qualified or pursuing) is a plus
- Experience supporting multi-market or regional finance operations
