Assistant Manager, Vendor Operations

Job Summary

The Vendor Operations Manager is a critical role dedicated to shaping and optimizing the Marketplace Experience for Bangladesh. Serving as the country point-of-contact, this individual will manage the performance of end-to-end processes for vendor incubation, ensuring a timely and seamless integration of vendors onto the foodpanda platform. You will play a pivotal role as the subject matter expert on vendor performance, partnering with functional and local Commercial teams to drive operational excellence, reduce bottlenecks, and implement scalable strategies tailored to varying restaurant volumes .

Job Responsibilities:

End-to-End Vendor & Marketplace Operations

Onboarding & Incubation: Act as the main country point-of-contact managing the end-to-end process performance for onboarding and incubation of new vendor partners. Ensure a timely, seamless integration and set vendors/restaurant partners up for success upon joining the platform.

Vendor Performance: Serve as the dedicated subject matter expert on vendor performance challenges and proactively drive strategic improvements.

Operational Excellence: Identify operational bottlenecks, propose effective solutions, and implement best practices to drive efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall processes.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Cross-functional Alignment: Work closely with cross-functional teams and the local Commercial department to improve the onboarding, incubation, and device delivery experience.

Scalable Processes: Partner closely with functional teams to develop scalable strategies for onboarding and operational topics to accommodate varying restaurant volumes, ensuring absolute efficiency and consistency.

Team Management

•
Direct People Leadership: Manage, mentor, and lead the operations team to achieve common organizational goals, as team management experience is a must.

Experienced Leader: 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, or process optimization, with a focused background in sales operations. Direct experience managing teams is a strict requirement.

Program & Project Proficiency: Strong understanding of program management methodologies and tools, with hands-on experience delivering complex projects.

Matrix & Collaborative Environment: Exposure to managing cross-functional teams and projects, ideally within global, regional, or multi-market environments. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals.

Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to analyze data and leverage insights to drive strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement. SQL experience is preferred.

Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to engage, align, and manage stakeholders at all levels .

Operational Experience: Experience working with operations. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other formal process improvement methodologies is highly advantageous.
