About Critical Loop

Critical Loop is shaping the next generation of energy systems by building the integrated edge grid of the future. Specializing in advanced energy management and battery control systems, Critical Loop empowers businesses and communities to seamlessly unite distributed energy resources for faster, more reliable, and affordable grid access. With deep expertise in grid modernization and a passion for creating resilient, responsive energy solutions, Critical Loop drives innovation at the intersection of technology and energy.

The Role

This person will help scale the software and infrastructure underpinning the telemetry, analytics, dispatch optimization, and deployment support systems required to operate more deployed sites and more complex operating modes. They will turn site data into actionable operational intelligence for monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, predictive maintenance, dispatch decisions, and deployment/operations troubleshooting.

What You Will Do

  • Scale telemetry data infrastructure so Project Engineering can reliably ingest, organize, query, and trust site data across a growing fleet of deployed assets
  • Build analytics and operational intelligence workflows for site health monitoring, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance
  • Support dispatch optimization and deployment/operations troubleshooting by analyzing telemetry, logs, communications behavior, state machine behavior, and site performance

Must-Haves

  • Advanced experience with SQL, data modeling, and building data pipelines using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
  • Experience working in a production data environment, including cloud infrastructure, Linux-based systems, logs, APIs, observability, and reliability tradeoffs
  • Experience building internal data tools, dashboards, or operational workflows actively used by stakeholders
  • Strong documentation and communication skills; experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Python skills or proficiency in a similar language

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with time series analysis, mathematical optimization, energy systems, sensor data, hardware systems, or field operations

Why Join Us

  • Direct ownership of a high-leverage operational system shaping how we monitor and optimize a growing fleet of energy sites
  • Work at the intersection of data, software, and real-world operations connecting telemetry to incident response and dispatch optimization
  • Build upon an existing foundation with immediate scaling impact as the fleet expands
