Merchandise Planner

• Planning, Projections: analyze sales, stock levels, margin and other key metrics. Own end to end merchandise planning, delivering sales projections and target stock levels by sku, style, product type, location, • Open-to-Buy: develop and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans, recommend shifts in purchasing based on performance and trends. • Reporting, Analysis : prepare regular reports, presenting recommendations re assortment edits, product or category opportunities, liabilities. • Allocation, Inventory: provide per location sku minimums and assess stock balance transfer efficiency; allocate inventory to optimize sell through, margin and stock efficiency • KPIs: Monitor inventory KPIs such as revenue, profitability, turn, and sell-through; identify risks and opportunities to improve performance. • Management/Leadership: manage, develop and train assistants and coordinators • Oversee the proper execution of department tasks. Co-manage projects and initiatives. Represent Merchandising in interdepartmental efforts
• 4-6 years of planning experience, ideally in multi-channel jewelry or accessories • Adept at learning new platforms and systems • Strong analytical, problem solving, Excel, ERP and retail math skills • Excellent communication skills • Detail oriented • Flexible, able to pivot quickly, multitask and set priorities for self & team • Strong sense of urgency and ownership • Team player with a respectful, positive and supportive approach • Willingness to work overtime as necessary • Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup-like environment - scrappy, resourceful, and excited to wear many hats as the role evolves
